Let’s be honest. No one wants to work out on their vacation or work trip, especially not me. I have found though, that I am the type of person who needs a continuous workout routine or I just won’t do it. I travel on average 4-5 weeks out of the year for work. In the past I have just decided to not workout or say, “I’m too tired for this.” Then I come home and still do the same thing. So I have made a list of tips for working out while on a vacation/work trip.
It is very easy to forget something when packing for a week trip, and even easier when packing for two or more weeks. Below is a packing list of items that I have needed while traveling. You can also download and print the PDF file, so you can check things off while you pack. If you think of anything else I should add to the list, please comment below.
If you are adamant on traveling the world I highly recommend that you join a frequent flyer program to get the most out of every trip. I will go over some of the pros and cons of the current top 3 programs. Top questions to ask when choosing:
-Does this airline service my home airport or the destinations I visit most often?
-If the miles expire, will I use them before the expiration period?
-What is the minimum amount of miles I can redeem for a flight?
Also, there is no harm in joining more than one (it's free!). Personally, I am a member of Delta Skymiles and AAdvantage. I choose these two because their hub airports are close to my home, Delta is one of the top airlines that flies to national parks, and American is partnered with One World, which is the top for flying internationally. These two programs fit MY needs. It may not be the same for. So I recommend doing your research before choosing.
